I was honestly skeptical about needing the separate magnet, but once I got the hang of it the gold-to-green flash over the red base is mesmerizing. Two coats and it hits that perfect lava-lamp vibe, though you do have to hold the magnet steady for a few seconds or the effect smears.

Red and orange shift catches the light beautifully, but what really got me was how the magnetic stripe pulls out that unexpected gold-green flash. I've used it over three different base colors and it totally transforms each time.

The red-to-orange shift on this one is gorgeous in sunlight, and when I held the magnet over it the gold and green just appeared like magic. Took me two tries to get the cat eye line crisp, but once I did it was worth it.
